Y2 Shabbat

We have been learning all about Shabbat this week. We have learnt about how Jewish people celebrate Shabbat and enjoyed tasting some of the special challah bread. We have also wrote our own Shabbat blessings.

Y2 Maths is Fun

We had a fun maths lesson today all about 2d shapes. We played bingo, dominoes, made shapes with the peg boards, had a feely bag and lots of other activities too. We had lots of fun whilst consolidating our 2d shapes.

Year 2 DT

This term in DT we are looking at structures at the park. We will be designing and making a mini structure. Today we enjoyed using a range of construction materials to make slides, sea-saws, swings, zip wires and roundabouts. `We enjoyed working together and sharing our ideas. Next week we will be looking at different ways to join different materials.

Year 2 Feelings

After reading the story ‘The Colour Monster,’ Year 2 enjoyed making a feelings wheel. We have all been really keen to use our wheels each morning and afternoon to say how we are feeling. Year 2 The Colour Monster

We have been enjoying the story of The Colour Monster. Today we have enjoyed making some feeling jar collages and feelings wheels. We then spent some time with our friends talking about our feelings using all of the different colour monsters from the story.

Year 2 Cloud Watching

For today’s mindfulness activity, we enjoyed cloud watching. We went outside, felt the air on our faces with our eyes closed and then watched the clouds. We saw mermaids, turtles, dogs, rabbits, love hearts, bears any many other things.
