AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
We promote and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle at St Cuthbert’s and part of this is offering a wide range of clubs throughout the year to involve as many of our pupils as we can in extra-curricular activities.
This term after school sports clubs are:
Monday – KS1 gymnastics (before half term) Dodgeball for Y1&2 after half term
Tuesday – gymnastics for Y3&4 and Tag Rugby for Years 3-6
Wednesday – FISCH club for Y4&5
Thursday – dance club for Y5&6
Friday – Sportshall Athletics for Y5&6
There will also be opportunities for pupils to take part in playtime clubs with our Junior Sports Leaders and Mrs Parlett and for all pupils to join in with cross country on Tuesday lunchtimes.
This term’s uptake in our sports clubs:
Year 1 – 60% of children.
Year 2 – 47% of children.
Year 3 – 67% of children.
Year 4 – 79% of children.
Year 5 – 87% of children.
Year 6 – 84% of children.
Many of our pupils enjoy competing with local sports teams who are always willing to welcome new members. These include:

All Stars Cricket

SCHOOL SPORT CREW
Our sports crew help to organise games and events in school and report on the latest goings on. We hope you enjoy reading their reports about sporting events and about clubs that our pupils attend.
INVESTING IN TEACHING & LEARNING
We spend a large portion of our Sport Premium on Easington Sports Partnership and use them to develop staff expertise and help prepare our pupils for competitions.
