Year 6 enjoyed a christmas themed spanish lesson this week. They learnt some new vocabulary, read a story about a little tree who was helped by Santa before creating their own christmas cards for their families and writing inside in spanish whilst singing along to “feliz navidad.”  

Margaret and David from the adult SVP in our Parish came and collected what we had for the local food bank. We were so proud of Year 3 who showed us all how hard they had been working with Mrs Sellars. They entertained us during their violin concert.Well done Year Three.  

We had so much fun at school today. In the morning we enjoyed our Christmas party where we danced and played lots of party games. Today we have had a very exciting day. This morning we went over to Seaham Town Hall to watch a Christmas performance called Merry Tinsel Toes. Then on the afternoon we had our Christmas party. We danced, played games and even managed to time for some party food.

Y5 had a wonderful time getting into the festive spirit by taking part in the Santa Dash. They really enjoyed the activities and getting covered in snow at the end.

Y4 have had a lovely last few days of term. We have taken part in the Santa Dash, enjoyed our Christmas party, had a visit from Santa and finished off with a fabulous Christmas show at Seaham Town Hall.  

What a great day we had in school today. We enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner cooked by Jan. Afterwards we had an exciting visit from a someone who made time in his busy schedule to drop in to see us to find out what we would like for Christmas. Santa also checked if we were all on his good list!!

In Science we have been looking at the importance of our skeleton and muscles. We were set two tasks. One was to create a working model showing how the muscles in our arms work. The second one was to show how strong the bones in our legs are by creating a structure that would stand and hold a weight on …

As part of our DT work we were set the task of making a fruit crumble. We started by tasting different seasonal fruits and spices. We had a lovely surprise today when Santa came to visit us. We told Santa what we would like for Christmas and even sang him a song. He was very impressed. He even told us we are all on the good list.

Year 2 had a wonderful time doing the Santa Dash yesterday. A huge thank you to the young sports leaders and staff from the Easington Sports Partnership for organising it.        

Year 6 had a wonderful time doing the Santa Dash. They dodged in and out of candy canes, decorated trees and even had a snowball fight. A great time was had by all.

We had lots of fun today. We threw snowballs, zig-zagged in and out of Santa hats, used a selfie frame and matched pairs. The best part was being sprayed by the snow machine.

Year 3 had fun at their Santa dash this afternoon – a big thank you to the young sports leaders and staff at Easington School Sports Partnership for running this for everyone in school!

Over the last 6 weeks, gymnastics club have worked unbelievably hard covering a wide variety of skills. They have worked on individual skills, pairs balances and finally produced a whole group routine. Each child has progressed week on week and have been a credit to the club. Well done!

Children will be having their Christmas Dinner on Wednesday 20th December. If your child normally has a school dinner, they will automatically be given a Christmas dinner. If your child normally has a packed lunch but would like a Christmas Dinner, please contact the school office by Tuesday 12th December.  

Well done to our latest Stars Of The Week. Children were rewarded for showing good values and for completing excellent work.

Adam Bushnell came to our class to share some fantastic ideas for  creative writing. The children all designed their own robot with their own unique, amazing features based on Adam’ s book Robochef.
