For the academic year 2016/17, St Cuthbert’s RCVA Primary School received £39,020 in Pupil Premium funding.

Two additional Teaching Assistants to support interventions for all classes in KS1 and KS2.

Assisting in closing the gap so children in all groups achieve expected progress with a high proportion of children achieving better than expected progress.

Employing a part time support teacher to provide additional support for developing writing, handwriting and comprehension skills in Years 2 and 3.

The increased expectations of the new curriculum means that children with poor handwriting and spelling ability, don’t meet their end of year expectations. These areas are having an impact on the proportion of children not meeting expectations by the end of the year, especially in Year 2.
Quality Music provision.

Fees paid for all Pupil Premium children who learn an instrument.
